ATV / Quad Bike FAQs

What driver’s license is required for an ATV rental in Oia?

To drive a quad bike in Santorini, you need a valid, physical Car Driver's License (Category B). You do not need a specialized motorcycle license. Note that digital copies or photos of your license on a phone are not accepted by Greek traffic police.

If your license was issued in the EU, USA, Canada, UK, Australia, or New Zealand, you do not need an IDP—your standard domestic plastic license is perfectly legal. If your license is from a country outside these regions, Greek law requires you to carry an IDP alongside your original license.
